Svetlana was displaced from her home in the town of Avdiivka, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine after her apartment was destroyed and she lost everything she owned.
About a year ago, after leaving for a city more than an hour away from her home, Svetlana came to our church (One of the many churches in the Generations Church Network in Ukraine). She started reading the Bible and began helping in the church. We are thankful that she found peace with God and peace for herself through our ministry!
Pastor Eugene from the church Svetlana is attending said:
Dear friends, we thank you for your support which has enabled us to help many people affected by the war and give them hope in Christ. Almost every day our church helps elderly people, families with children, displaced people, and those suffering from the war. Over the summer we helped 145 displaced people with hygiene kits, and 90 adults and 30 children with food packages. We preach the Gospel and give Christian literature.
Svetlana is just one of the hundreds who have heard the Good News of Jesus through the ministry of this church. Because of your partnership with Summit Missions International through prayers and support, the seeds of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are being scattered in Eastern Europe through our many partners.
More About Generations Missions Association
Generations Missions Association for Pastoral Training and Church Planting is based in Ukraine. This ministry has prepared numerous mission teams in Russian-speaking countries since its inception in 2015, including Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Central Asia, and Europe.
The Generations team coaches Christian leaders as they develop strategies and methods for creative approaches to practical and meaningful ministry. This is done so that solid leadership is developed within churches, and groups of believers are discipled and mobilized to express the love of Christ to their surrounding communities.
Generations Missions Association has a network of over 200 churches throughout Ukraine. They have trained hundreds of leaders in church planting.
When the war began on February 24, 2022, several churches part of this network were prepared and ready to respond. These churches have provided evacuation, shelter, food, emotional support, and spiritual hope.
As the war goes on, Generations Missions Association continues to support churches throughout Ukraine in their ministry to the needy, in relief efforts, and witness to Jesus through word and deed.
Through your support of Summit Missions International, resources are provided to the Generations Missions Association so churches in Ukraine can minister to the needy, provide practical help through relief efforts, and be a witness of Jesus through word and deed.
