The end of May marked a pivotal event here at Summit Missions International. That event was Esley Patsch’s retirement (Founder of SMI). As I have come to know Esley and this organization, I can say with confidence that Esley has truly been a faithful servant. His devotion to the Lord and to the lost in Eastern Europe has been an inspiration to us all. Esley is a follower of Jesus and wants everyone to hear the Good News. Esley has lived out the following words of the apostle Paul:
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ -Acts 20:35 (emphasis mine)
THE PATSCH FAMILY HAS GIVEN!
In the 90’s Esley and Chris answered the call as Eastern Europe opened itself to the Gospel. In partnership with many nationals, they have worked tirelessly at meeting people’s spiritual and physical needs as the Lord has given them opportunity. Esley would be the first to tell you how well the Lord has provided all these years. He often quotes Hudson Taylor, “God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supplies.”
God has been so good to Summit Missions. And people like you have been a BIG part of that provision!
In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus called His followers “salt” and “light.” It is my honor to recognize that the Patsch family are salt and light to many people, both here and abroad. Jesus also said, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” -Matt. 5:16. Through the years, many people have given glory to God because of their faithful service to the Lord.
On behalf of our volunteers, donors, and international partners, I want to say thank you and well done, good and faithful servant.
