Hi, my name is Nadezhda. I am 16 years old. This summer was my first time at an Adventure Camp. I had never been on a raft before the camp and will never forget my activities there. It all was just wonderful!
Everything was organized perfectly. We were fed well, swam, and played a lot. I really liked the organizers – “Uncle” Sergey, “Aunt” Sveta, and Vanya. They replaced our parents for the week and took good care of us. They even spoiled us!
I would like to thank everyone who worked to give us a great week—the leaders and the team of participants. It was such an exciting time. It is a pity that it flew by so quickly! I wanted it to go on and on.
I am especially grateful for the spiritual guidance and life lessons received. The icing on the cake was our time around the campfire when “Uncle” Sergey told us about Jesus Christ. Everyone listened to him with enthusiasm.
I definitely want to go back to a camp like this next summer. I will even invite my sister! I am grateful for so many interesting things that happened this summer—for the kindness of others, and the wonderful weather during the camp. I am grateful that God allowed me to meet wonderful people.
About Adventure Camps
The Adventure Camp program focuses on sharing the Gospel and discipling youth. It consists of three parts: Leadership School, Extreme Prayer Trips, and Summer Rafting Trips. Through the Leadership School, teens learn practical outdoor skills while reading and applying God’s Word to life circumstances. During the 5-day Summer Rafting Trips, teens recognize the importance of placing faith in Jesus. The goal is to provide teens with opportunities for growth in maturity and spirituality throughout the year and mentor them along the way. Summit Missions International provides funding, camping and sports equipment.
