In a rural village in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region, the “Bread of Life” church is part of the Generations Church Network, which focuses on missions training and church planting. Four churches from this network have joined together to run a social program that supports people in their community affected by the war. With the help of 80 volunteers, they delivered 1,500 food packages, served 500 hot meals, gave clothing to 300 people, provided temporary shelter, bedding, and blankets to 50 people, and brought firewood and fuel to heat five homes.
Representatives from the program say, “This program is important and relevant. Because of it, many people have seen God's love and care for them. Children started attending a children's club and receiving assistance. Later, their parents also began attending the program and services. After some time, the parents joined the church and ministry and expressed a desire to be baptized. These are the miracles that God performs through this ministry.”
Through the program and meetings, 2,500 people have heard the Gospel. Fifty have come to faith in Jesus. Thirty have been baptized. Three small groups have been formed.

“We sincerely thank you for your support,” volunteers from the program told us. Along with the support received, they extended their gratitude for your prayers and asked for continued prayer for the growth of their ministry team and their dedication to service; for continued training and improvement of the team; for the conversion of people to faith and life in Christ and their baptism; and for God's provision in establishing new small groups and, eventually, new churches from those groups; pray also for God to provide the financial support necessary for ministers of the churches.
More About Generations Mission Association
Generations Mission Association for Pastoral Training and Church Planting is based in Ukraine. This ministry has prepared numerous mission teams since its inception in 2015, including Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Central Asia, and Europe.
The Generations team coaches Christian leaders as they develop strategies and methods for creative approaches to practical and meaningful ministry. This is done so that solid leadership is developed within churches, and groups of believers are discipled and mobilized to express the love of Christ to their surrounding communities.
Generations Mission Association has a network of over 200 churches throughout Ukraine. They have trained hundreds of leaders in church planting.
When the war began on February 24, 2022, several churches part of this network were prepared and ready to respond. These churches have provided evacuation, shelter, food, emotional support, and spiritual hope. Generations Mission Association continues to support churches throughout Ukraine in their ministry to the needy, in relief efforts, and witness to Jesus through word and deed.
Summit Missions International is involved in the work of the Generations Mission Association through funding, sponsorship of church planters, and providing resources for training conferences and workshops.
