The Generations Missions Association team continues to teach pastors, missionaries, and leaders across Ukraine. Our national Mission Partner and Founder of Generations Missions Association, Rustam, says “Even in this time when we have a lot of migration, refugees, and fear about the future, God is giving us a lot of good results from our ministry. Every time we have meetings and trainings, we are amazed to hear and see how God is continually developing His Kingdom and expanding the reach of His Gospel.”

In April, the Generations Missions Association held two training sessions in the central and western parts of the country. A total of 54 participants representing 16 teams were equipped for ministry. The session topics focused on leadership. Students explored how vision is shaped and accomplished. They learned what challenges are most often faced in ministry, and why they are not always easy to overcome. Each team had the opportunity to analyze their ministry, listen to others share their experiences, and receive encouragement and inspiration to continue their work.

In mid-April, they held a training for young missionaries from the Zhytomyr region. This training included 34 participants. During the training session, the nine teams worked through questions like: What is the best way to begin ministry in this geographic area; What results do you want to achieve with your ministry, and what it will take to get there?

The Generations Missions Association financially supports 18 missionaries who are planting and developing new churches in six regions of Ukraine. They also provide support and resources to churches throughout Ukraine so they can minister by word and deed to the needy, especially during this time of war.

About the Generations Church Network

Generations Mission Association, founded by our Mission Partner, Rustam, has prepared numerous church-planting teams in the Russian-speaking countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia since its inception in 2015. The Generations team coaches pastors and Christian leaders in Eastern Europe as they develop strategies and methods for creative approaches to practical and meaningful ministry. Summit Missions International is involved in the work of Generations Mission Association through funding, sponsorship of church planters, training of Christian leaders by providing speakers, support and equipment for conferences and workshops.

When the war began in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, nearly 50 churches, part of the Generations Network, were prepared and ready to respond. Together, the churches in the network across Ukraine have provided practical help through evacuation, temporary shelter, food, clothing, and other resources. The volunteers from the Church Network are sharing spiritual hope and giving emotional support as people face some of their darkest and most difficult seasons of life. Through your support, Summit Missions International can continue to provide resources so these churches can be the hands and feet of Jesus, showing His love and care to the suffering.
