My name is Kolya. I am in the 7th grade and 12 years old.

I have been going to Children of the Street for almost a year. They provide a delicious lunch for us to eat after school. We study Bible lessons and learn verses by memory. We also participate in competitions for verse memorization.

Our mentors at the program help those of us who have difficulty doing our homework. I also like to do crafts and make things with my hands.

Children of the Street is a very cool program! We spend our time usefully, learning new things about God every day. They always provide help, food, understanding, and support here. They often give us gifts and surprises. I also made new friends in the program!

I am very grateful that complete strangers help financially so we can eat and exercise at the program daily.

I want my whole class to come to the church for this program. I tell them every day about how great it is. All the kids that come really like it!

Children of the Street provides a safe environment for the poorest children in the community at the local church in Grigoriopol, Transnistria. Young people in the community know they can go there after school to receive a fresh, hot meal and tutoring. While this program provides practical help meeting necessities like food, the Children of the Street team wants to show these kids the link between faith and life. Program mentors are available to help tutor children in their studies, provide a listening ear, and help give Biblically-based wisdom and guidance for everyday experiences. As a group, they study the Bible daily, sing songs, memorize Bible verses, and enjoy fun activities like sports, crafts, and special outings.
