Snapshot from the Church Network in Ukraine: Sharing Spiritual and Physical Food
Tuesday, November 29, 2022 by Amber Schafer

Before the war, we were involved in the organization of a new church and youth ministry in the area where we live. Now we help civilians and are doing a chaplaincy ministry for the military.

We are engaged in evacuating people from the city and region, as well as people who come from Kherson. We have three humanitarian aid bases in our city which are distributing water, food, medicines, and supplies to civilians and the military. We also support the military by praying with them. On Sundays, many new people are coming to our church services where we share both spiritual and physical food with them.

We have also prepared a bomb shelter in the basement of the church building. We have no water in our city, so we are working together with a mission that wants to put a water filtration system and well in the church.

We are grateful for your help and support! Through your sacrifice, we feel that God cares for our family, church, and the people of Ukraine.

Through your support, Summit Missions International can provide resources so these churches can give practical assistance and spiritual hope to those suffering. At the center of all our efforts is the motivating belief that the Gospel brings hope and makes an eternal impact in the lives of men, women, and children. Your continued support helps us reach more refugees and people throughout Eastern Europe with this Good News of Jesus. Thanks for your participation!
